Camila, 23 years old, and her small son Jerónimo came to Churubusco studios in Mexico City to visit her beloved Diego, age 29, who recently has spent the good part of the day directing Abel, his new movie. The actor does not stop commitments, since he's also promoting the film Sólo quiero caminar.

Abel, which tells the story of a child who is left by his father and how he manages to survive, is the second movie that Diego will direct and that will also be produced by Canana Films. The movie will have a budget of 2 million 730 thousand dollars, it will have federal incentives and a private budget, including 780 thousand dollars in cash contributed by the Mexican state of Aguascalientes, which also will provide an extra 370 thousand dollars in additional services.

His friend, José Maria Yazpik, is a part of the cast and had to gain 15 kilos for his role in this family drama. "The first thing I asked him was to put on weight and he fulfilled it exactly, he's a generous guy. I was scared to work with him in such a close relationship, but to be filming with someone that you want and know is very important," Diego commented to the press.

It was a few days ago when the production team recorded some of the scenes in Aguascalientes, the location chosen because Diego and the writer of the story, Augusto Mendoza, spent a lot of their time as children in this place.

"I started writing the story together with Augusto Mendoza and we discovered that we had spent our childhoods here. We decided to speak about these children, about memories and it's easier to write about a place that you know and love. I have many connections here," mentioned Diego.

Luna assured he is prepared to receive criticism of the movie Abel and for the moment he will carry out his role as director, but he assured that he will not leave the performance side.
